We
are all students of Roosevelt high school. We’re located in Boyle Heights,
which is in Los Angeles. The community of Boyle Heights is very diverse because
of its history, and that is a major reason why there is a lot of discrimination
in the city. We see a lot of hate in this city within our families and friends.
Roosevelt high school is a school full of students who have big dreams and
students who have no dreams for certain reasons. These differences within the
Roosevelt high school community make discrimination grow because of everyones misunderstandings, and it most definitely
has happened in the past as well. That is one main reason why we want to end
discrimination.
Trying to accomplish to stop people from discriminating
other by their class status, ethnicity or anything. We want to stop people hating one another for selfish reasons. The goal is to
try and make our audience comprehend that we’re all the same. There’s nothing different
between us since we were all brought into this world the same way. Stop with the judging of the race we come from. We want everyone to contribute to stoping discrimination.
We are creating this blog because we want to expand our campaign and
make people see why it is bad to discriminate. Also, many people don’t realize
that many times they do it themselves and with our blog we want to show what
are ways people discriminate each other. This has turned to people’s everyday
life thing so they see it as normal when it is not because they don’t offend
the people they say it but to people who hear it as well, which causes sometimes-uncomfortable
situations. We have decided to use this blog as a way to try to stop discrimination
because we are all the same and nobody is different. We all have our
differences but if we keep up with this attitude we will just end up hurting everybody.
This blog was designed so people could see what happens when a person/ group is
discriminated and how they react towards those hatred comments or actions. Everybody
should also realize that they wouldn’t like to be treated how they treat others
so they shouldn’t. In this blog everybody will be exposed to how people feel
and how people treat others so everyone can see that this should stop because
they never know when thy will be in the peoples place the ones that get hurt.
